his airport is about 5km (3 miles) from Larnaca, and is easily reached by motorway.
Car parking is right in front of the terminal. There's no long-term parking lot to hike in from, and incredibly, parking at this airport is cheap!
Loads of international car rental companies such as Avis, Budget and Hertz operate in Larnaca Airport Arrivals Hall. If you want to book your car in advance, you can pre-order from most of the big car hire companies at the same time as you book your flight.

But if you want to wing it, there's banks, a cafe, and a Hotel Reservations desk in the Arrivals Hall.
You could get the best last-minute deal available by booking a hotel on the spot, and then changing your money and having a coffee during the 20 minutes or so that it will take before the hotel's car arrives to transfer you.
If you're headed for a villa or beach apartment and don't intend to rent a holiday car, there's no need to worry! Larnaca airport has lots of modestly priced taxis (with the taxi trip prices posted up on a message board in Arrivals) and also a door to door shuttle bus which costs hardly anything.
Larnaca Airport facilities are rarely overwhelmed.
You can expect to progress rapidly through Arrivals, collect your baggage easily, and pass swiftly through Customs to your Holiday Centre transport at the meeting point where your courteous driver awaits you.
On your return, your check-in, baggage deposit and passage through security is usually swift and painless.
Larnaca airport is small and quaint, but the people are amazing! Courteous, helpful, efficient - why, if you didn't know better, you'd swear you were in an time-warp! Because despite having been relatively recently built, one thing this airport is not is modern.
The facilities at Larnaca Airport are the best you'll get in a Cyprus airport, which is to say, parochially charming rather than a modern, 'stream-lined,' queue-3-hours-in-security (and miss out on our gorgeous shopping mall as a result) glass tower type of airport.
There are only a few airport shops, but they stock high-discount designer buys, and large bottles of spirits are only about 10 TLY each, 200 pack of cigarettes about 30TLY. The currency converter below will tell you how much that is in "real" money!
Duty free prices at Larnaca are typically about 30% lower than at Paphos International, and other goods are even cheaper!
What's the catch?
Well, the charter flights mostly fly into Paphos, which means that your 'cheap flights' to Larnacas are mostly on scheduled airlines. So your cheapest flight to Larnaca will be a little bit more costly than the cheap flights to Paphos. But not much more!
British Airways do one-way fares from London starting at £69(UK) and there are lots of other major airlines who fly into Larnaca at discount air fares.

Larnaca is my favourite Cyprus airport, because it has the edge on both Paphos and Ercan in terms of comfort and customer service...
... and for shopaholics like me, Larnaca also has the edge in price!
